New Animal Center To Open In Desert Hot Springs
A ribbon-cutting and open house ceremony unveiled the new public animal center to the Coachella Valley on Wednesday.
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — The Desert Community Animal Center was unveiled in Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday morning, welcoming residents of the Coachella Valley with a ribbon-cutting and open house ceremony.
The new center, located on the site of the former Desert Hot Springs Animal Hospital, will serve the pets and pet owners of the region.
The new facility promises to provide low-cost veterinary care, making it a new affordable option in the Coachella Valley.

The clinic will offer walk-in vaccination, financial aid, retail supplies, end-of-life life services, a pet food bank, a public spay/neuter clinic, wellness appointments and more, according to the center's website.
"This center is more than a clinic — it's a promise to our residents that every family deserves access to compassionate and affordable pet care," Mayor Scott Matas said. "We're proud to see it rooted right here in our city."
