A week after landing a new title sponsor, organizers of the annual PGA men’s golf tournament formerly known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic announced Tuesday they’ve selected two new courses for next year’s event.
The TPC Stadium Course and the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West will join the La Quinta Country Club as venues for the 2016 CareerBuilder Challenge, to be held Jan. 21-24.

“This will be the 56th year Desert Classic Charities has hosted a PGA Tour event, and throughout those years it has been played on some of the Coachella Valley’s most dynamic courses,” said John Foster, president of Desert Classic Charities.
“This latest move reflects that perfectly,” he said. “We take great pride in our history of challenging, interesting and diverse courses and we look forward to this latest chapter in our rich history, especially with our new title sponsor.”

Organizers announced May 11 that the tournament would be renamed the CareerBuilder Challenge, and continue its affiliation with the Clinton Foundation and Desert Classic Charities.
CareerBuilder replaced Kentucky-based health insurance provider Humana, which abruptly ended its sponsorship of what was briefly known as the Humana Challenge, effective this year -- four years ahead of what had been expected to be an eight-year deal.
The CareerBuilder agreement runs through 2021.
