New Flights To North Carolina From Palm Springs International Airport: What To Know
East coast travelers will have an easier route to Charlotte Douglas International Airport from Palm Springs International Airport.

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Palm Springs International Airport has planned seasonal nonstop service to Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina via American Airlines starting in December, the airport shared Monday.
The Saturday-only flights will operate from Dec. 20 through April 18, 2026, aboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 172 seats, officials said.
Flights will depart Charlotte, North Carolina, at 9:25 a.m. and arrive in Palm Springs at 11:25 a.m., with return service leaving at 12:15 p.m. and arriving in Charlotte at 7:45 p.m.

PSP executive director of aviation Harry Barrett Jr. released a statement on the addition.
"This new connection builds on our momentum, adding even more nonstop access between the Coachella Valley and the East Coast," he said. "Every new route creates more opportunities for our community, our visitors and our economy."

Officials said the announcement comes during a year of record-breaking growth for the airport, which has logged five record months in 2025. July passenger counts were up 11% compared to the same month last year.
