Palm Desert Looks Forward to Spring Concerts in the Park

Live performances and food truck fare will be a part of Palm Desert's free Spring Concerts in the Park in May.

From the City of Palm Desert: Enjoy exciting live performances while savoring delectable food truck fare at the Civic Center Park Amphitheater from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday in May as part of Palm Desert’s free Spring Concerts in the Park.

The fun continues May 11 with a performance by the Amanda Castro Band. The Southern California-based band specializes in an eclectic mix of upbeat jazz with a unique style that has entertained audiences at venues including The Beverly Hills Hotel, The House of Blues, and at the Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay hotels in Las Vegas.

This year’s Spring Concerts, hosted by the City with additional sponsorship from the Desert Recreation District, offer a variety of talented acts designed to please music lovers of all ages and tastes including: alternative country/rock from Rose’s Pawn Shop (May 18); and roots-reggae from Arise Roots (May 25).

Family YMCA of the Desert will once again be leading children’s games and activities before each of the four shows. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
