Palm Desert's El Paseo Rehabilitation Project Reaches Final Stage

PALM DESERT, CA — Palm Desert's multi-phase El Paseo Rehabilitation Project is entering its final stretch in a months-long effort to revitalize one of Palm Desert's main shopping and dining corridors.
By August, the city said it aims to have enhanced "the driving experience and create a safer, more inviting atmosphere for pedestrians."
Crews are currently wrapping up work on the third phase of the project, which began in June. The plan includes resurfacing the westbound lanes on the north side of El Paseo between San Pablo and Portola avenues.

That segment is expected to be completed by Thursday. Immediately afterward, work will shift across the median to the eastbound lanes on the south side of the same stretch, with pavement removal and asphalt installation scheduled through August 11.
