RivCo Crews Fight Burning Semi Truck Along I-10

Firefighters contended with a semi truck engulfed in flames in the early morning hours on Thursday.

Crews arrived just after 5 a.m. to Highway 77 and I-10 Eastbound in the unincorporated area of Desert Center to deal with the large burning tractor trailer, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

DESERT CENTER, CA — Riverside County firefighters responded to a semi truck fully engulfed in flames along the Interstate 10 in the early morning hours on Thursday morning.

Crews arrived just after 5 a.m. to Highway 77 and I-10 Eastbound in the unincorporated area of Desert Center to deal with the large burning tractor trailer, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

Containment was reached by 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene for about an hour to cleanup the area.
