RivCo Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash With Big Rig
The driver of the big rig was not injured and cooperated with investigators.
INDIO, CA — A 33-year-old man who was severely injured when his motorcycle collided with a big rig in Indio died Friday.
Roberto Rodriguez, an Indio resident, died from injuries suffered in the collision that occurred about 11:15 p.m. Thursday at 43401 Monroe St., according to the coroner's office and the Indio Police Department.
Officers who responded to the scene found the motorcyclist in the roadway with significant injuries. He was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he was pronounced dead Friday morning, the department said.

Monroe Street was temporarily closed between Oleander Avenue and Interstate 10, but the roadway was reopened at 2:54 a.m. Friday.

The cause of the collision was under investigation.
