State Route 111 Night Construction, Lane Closures Schedule Announced
Caltrans officials have changed the construction schedule to accommodate daytime travelers. The construction will begin Monday, March 3.
PALM SPRINGS, CA —Caltrans officials announced that the state Route 111 Roadway Project will switch to a nighttime construction schedule.
In a response to public concerns about traffic congestion and delays, paving -- starting Monday -- will now occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Mondays to Thursdays, according to a statement published Thursday evening. No work will be performed on Fridays and weekends.
Additionally, the statement clarified that closures on multiple key intersection would not be simultaneous, leaving options open between Gene Autry Trail at Vista Chino, Ramon Road, Dinah Shore/Mesquite and East Palm Canyon Drive.
