TRAFFIC ALERT: Signals Dark at Town Center and Hahn Wednesday and Thursday, Expect Delays

Traffic signals at Town Center Way and Hahn Road are scheduled to be dark Wednesday and Thursday this week for workers to rewire the signal cabinet at the intersection, a Palm Desert representative announced Tuesday.

The plan is for traffic signals to be dark from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days, Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, City of Desert spokesman David Hermann said.

"Four way stop signs will be in place to control traffic," Hermann said. "Delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to allow extra time or use alternate routes."

The signal work is part of a citywide traffic signal maintenance program, which includes replacing and upgrading signal infrastructure at multiple intersections over the coming weeks, Hermann said.
