Chamber to Honor Local Businesses

Businesses in Palos Verdes and neighboring Torrance will be honored in February by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce as part of the 2011 "Salute to Business" Awards.

Nominees will be recognized at the dinner for community involvement, customer service, innovation and unique products, according to the chamber's website.

Five businesses and one nonprofit organization will be honored. The nominees include, Best New Business: , Rancho Palos Verdes; Best Nonprofit Organization: , Palos Verdes Peninsula; Salute to Business 2011 Honoree: Classic Party Rentals, Torrance; Salute to Business 2011 Honoree: Griswold & Griswold Insurance Agency, Torrance; Salute to Business 2011 Honoree: , Rolling Hills Estates; Salute to Business 2011 Honoree: , Rolling Hills Estates. 

The awards event will also feature an auction and installation of the chamber’s 2012 officers and board of directors.

Attend the event: The awards dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at in Rancho Palos Verdes. Tickets are $125 each on or before Jan. 20 ($150 after). A table for 10 is $1,250 ($1,500 after Jan. 20).
