Former Councilman John Parsons Dies

Patch reported John Parsons, a former Redondo Beach city councilman and current planning commissioner, died Thursday morning. Our coverage of his condition leaving Tuesday's City Council meeting and updates, drew several comments.

Another school shooting!
Tim shared his reaction to another school shooting making national news. Head to his post for a look at his take on the event. An excerpt: "School has just begun and we have another school shooting.  It's time we start to look past the shooter and find out who benefits politically from these."
