Expect Overnight Delays on Hawthorne, Torrance Police Say
Crews will be repaving portions of Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Motorists are advised to avoid Hawthorne Boulevard on Wednesday and Thursday nights due to paving operations, the Torrance Police Department said in an alert.
The overnight closures started Tuesday.
Wednesday's "major impacts" will be on southbound Hawthorne Boulevard, where the Nos. 1-3 lanes (the three most inside lanes) will be closed from about Spencer Street to Fashion Way. On northbound Hawthorne Boulevard, the Nos. 1-3 lanes will be closed from Del Amo Circle to about Maricopa Street.

On Thursday, crews will pave the Nos. 1-3 lanes on northbound Hawthorne Boulevard from about Maricopa Street to 190th Street.
"Through traffic and turning movements onto or off of side streets will be temporarily prohibited across Hawthorne Boulevard during active paving operations (starting at approximately 10 p.m.)," according to the police department.

The closures will last from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
