Former Rolling Hills Country Day Student Talks About Love for Filmmaking
Young director Jason Carpenter is interviewed about his journeys in filmmaking.

Hermosa Beach native and former student Jason Carpenter used to watch movies in the theater by himself as a kid, never knowing his love for films would one day turn into a career in making them.
Carpenter, 25, now an award-winning director, those experiences would act as a first spark in his career.
"It was kind of my first experience," he said in the interview. "I really loved films, even though it wasn’t really in the forefront of my mind at the time, like, 'Oh, I want to be a filmmaker based on liking films.' It just was the first sort of spark that I had."
