Here's more information about the roles and how to apply:
- Traffic and Safety Committee: The Traffic and Safety Committee reviews and advises the City Council on issues related to traffic laws and community safety regulations, including parking and speed restrictions, traffic control signs and signals, traffic calming, and school crossings. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis or at the discretion of the Committee Chair. - Equestrian Committee: The Equestrian Committee reviews and advises the City Council on specific items of concern within the City’s equestrian community, including the use of horse arenas and trails. The Committee also assists in planning annual City events, such as the Mayor’s Breakfast Ride, City Celebration, and Peninsula Holiday Parade. Meetings are typically held at 7:00 pm on the fourth Monday of each month or at the discretion of the Committee Chair. - Environmental Advisory Committee: Members of the Environmental Advisory Committee advise the City Council in the development of policies and programs that address issues of environmental concern, such as climate change, energy efficiency, and conservation.
