Graduation Ceremonies to Cause Traffic Delays

Motorists should avoid the areas surrounding Palos Verdes Peninsula and Palos Verdes high schools Thursday evening.

Graduation ceremonies are planned Thursday for both Palos Verdes Peninsula and Palos Verdes high schools, and residents should expect traffic near the schools.

Traffic delays are expected from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Rolling Hills Estates near Peninsula High School, according to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

Deputies will be present to direct traffic, but motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Peninsula High School is located at the intersection of Hawthorne Boulevard and Silver Spur Road.

Graduation at Palos Verdes High School is scheduled for 6 p.m., though motorists should avoid the area between 5-8 p.m. It was not immediately clear if the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department would be directing traffic.

Palos Verdes High School is located at 600 Cloyden Road in Palos Verdes Estates.
