Hawthorne Boulevard Closed Due to Crash

Hawthorne Boulevard in Rolling Hills Estates has been closed by deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to through traffic in both directions between Rolling Hills Road and Palos Verdes Drive North, according to multiple tipsters.

A user of Waze, a social networking site for reporting traffic conditions, reported heavy traffic on southbound Hawthorne Boulevard before Rolling Hills Road, while another user noted a police presence. 

Preliminary reports indicate that at least four vehicles were involved in the crash, according to a representative of the Lomita Sheriff's Station. Nobody involved in the crash was transported to the hospital.
