RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Brush clearing starts Saturday in Rancho Palos Verdes and continues weekly through Oct. 30.

Residents are encouraged to help prevent brush fires by removing shrubs, brush, hedges, tree branches and bushes. Each Saturday EDCO will pick up excess green waste along a different trash route in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Acceptable green waste may be in tied bundles, in EDCO carts, or in other personal cans, the city said.

"Greens placed in plastic bags will be accepted, however, the use of plastic bags is discouraged due to possible contamination issues at the processing facilities," the city said.

Loose material such as trash or construction and demolition material will not be collected. Check out the website for more information about what is and what is not accepted by EDCO.
