High Surf Advisory in SoCal Until Saturday
The National Weather Service's advisory will be in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday.

A expected to reach Southern California today could produce high surf with sets of more than 10 feet through Saturday morning, the National Weather Service predicts.
NWS issued a high surf advisory today in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday. It warned that surf will build this afternoon and into the night to nearly 12 feet along west and northwest facing shores. Surf will subside to below 10 feet by Saturday morning, according to the advisory.
High tide of around six feet is predicted for 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

"Ocean activities will be potentially dangerous for anyone," NWS warned.
The storm system has continued to develop over the Eastern Pacific Ocean and steady rain is expected to reach the Los Angeles Basin tonight. Forecasters are still unsure of how much rain the storm will produce, with estimates between one-quarter inch and one inch.
