Higher Turnout Than Expected at Polling Places by Midday

Residents vote on Measure C in higher numbers than expected.

Poll officials said they weren't expecting many residents to vote on Measure C today and were pleased with the about 150 people who cast ballots by 3 p.m. at City Hall.

By about 3 p.m., 147 people had voted on Measure C, the city's ballot measure, they said. Polls are open until 8 p.m.

The ballot measure will determine if Rancho Palos Verdes will move away from its current general law form and adopt a city charter.
