Hiker Rescued in Del Cerro Park

A hiker was airlifted Saturday afternoon out of the Upper Filiorum trails near Del Cerro Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.

According to reader Ian Bisco, who provided photos, a rescuer was lowered down from the helicopter by a cable. The hiker came out of the shade, and the rescuer hooked himself and the hiker to a cable. The pair was lifted into the helicopter.

The rescue occurred at about 4 p.m.
