The Parks Master Plan Update public outreach effort is underway.

The first of 12 planned public workshops is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Peck Park Auditorium in San Pedro. The focus of this workshop is Eastview Park and the public is encouraged to attend and to offer their opinions regarding the future of this park.

Rancho Palos Verdes Recreation and Parks staff, at the direction of City Council, is preparing an update of the city’s 1989 Parks Master Plan. This update is intended to provide a comprehensive strategy for addressing the future use of the city’s precious parks, recreation and open space resources.

The update will include a significant, multi-layered public outreach effort, including stakeholder meetings, site-focused - as well as general - public workshop meetings, and an on-line survey on recreation issues.
