Letter to the Editor: SoCal Edison Needs to Address Outage Issues

A Palos Verdes Estates resident talks about her frustration with power outages on The Hill.

The communities of Palos Verdes Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes and any other communities on The Hill should question why we are constantly losing power from Southern California Edison.

Over and over our power has gone out. Sometimes it's a few minutes and other times minimum of two hours. We are constantly being told it's a problem and they are fixing it, but all these fixes are not doing a single thing. All the work they are doing is a like a Band-Aid and nothing is a good fix.

Last year I lost a refrigerator and all the food spoiled. March 3, one of my fish died in my new salt water tank. I never thought I would have to be concerned about a back-up power source for a tank. I am considering a generator or dumping SCE all together for solar (don't know if that is possible).

SCE doesn't really care or have any concern about customer service. If they did, they would focus on repairing and not just patches or Band-Aides that don't hold.
