Man Hurt In San Pedro Apartment Fire: LAFD
Fire crews were called to the site of the fire in the 2000 block of South Cabrillo Avenue at around 9:16 a.m.
SAN PEDRO, CA — A man was hospitalized Thursday morning after being injured during an apartment fire in San Pedro, according to authorities.
Fire crews responded to reports of a fire at a three-story hillside apartment at 2030 S. Cabrillo Ave. at around 9:16 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, there was smoke and fire showing from the top floor of the building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A crew of 46 firefighters worked to contain the blaze to one unit and were able to extinguish it in about 20 minutes, according to authorities.

One man was evaluated for smoke inhalation and a head injury before being taken to a local hospital for further treatment, authorities said. It's unclear what started the blaze.
