Man Shot And Killed At South Bay Bar; Suspect In Custody: Police
A man was shot and killed early Wednesday at a Torrance bar and a suspect is in custody, authorities said.
TORRANCE, CA — A man was shot and killed at a Torrance bar early Wednesday and a suspect is in custody, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 1 a.m. at the “Hi-n-Dry” bar at 3116 182nd Street, according to Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department.
Officers responded and found the shooting victim outside the business, Ponegalek said. He was taken to Harbor General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

His name was not immediately released.
Officers detained several people in the area during the initial investigation, Ponegalek said.

An unnamed suspect was detained and arrested on suspicion of homicide, Ponegalek said. A gun was found near the shooting.
