Motorists: Expect Traffic Delays in RHE, PVE
A signal replacement project and tree removals may cause significant delays.

Residents of the Palos Verdes Peninsula should expect traffic delays in Rolling Hills Estates and Palos Verdes Estates on Friday, according to separate alerts from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station and Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.
Crews will continue to replace the existing traffic signal lights at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Palos Verdes Drive North in RHE between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday, according to the Lomita Sheriffs. Lane closures will be limited to the period of time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
"During working hours, the signals may be on a flashing red operation, so expect delays," RHE Assistant City Manager Greg Grammer said in an email to Patch. "Residents are encouraged to avoid the area if at all possible.

Deputies warned of "significant traffic delays" in the area.
In PVE, crews will be removing a pair of trees in the 3400 block of Palos Verdes Drive North, so traffic will be detoured between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the PVEPD.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured at Via Colusa—motorists will turn right onto Via Colusa and proceed onto Paseo del Campo before turning left. Westbound traffic will take Paseo del Campo to Via Valmonte before turning left back onto Palos Verdes Drive North.
No parking will be allowed on one side of Via Colusa to allow for a safe flow of traffic, according to the PVEPD.
