One More Day of High Heat Expected in South Bay
The mini heat wave is expected to die down by Friday.

Hot, summer-like temperatures are predicted to stick around Thursday, but Palos Verdes residents might get a break Friday when the mini heat wave starts to subside.
The high heat that has hit the SoCal area since Wednesday is the product of an upper-level high-pressure system combined with offshore winds, according to the National Weather Service.
A cooling trend is expected to get under way Friday, when onshore winds will return to the region and highs in some areas will be more than 10 degrees lower than today. In most areas, temperatures again will drop on Saturday.
