Panga Boat Washes Up In Palos Verdes, About A Dozen Detained
A panga boat washed up off the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, authorities said. About a dozen people were detained.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A panga boat washed up along the coast near Rancho Palos Verdes and about a dozen people were detained, authorities said.
The incident happened in the 5300 block of Palos Verdes Drive South, near Terranea Resort, at 8:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Officers were reportedly looking for more suspects in the area. No injuries were immediately reported.

Helicopters and a large police presence were in the area, readers told Patch.
About 17 people were on the boat, KTLA reports. The group was stopped at Smuggler's Cove in Palos Verdes.
