Poll: Are You Frustrated by Frequent Power Outages in PVE?

Palos Verdes Estates Mayor John Rea writes a letter to SoCal Edison expressing the city's dissatisfaction with the power company's response to service problems.

Calling on Southern California Edison to make Palos Verdes Estates and the Peninsula as a whole a priority, PVE Mayor John Rea wrote to the company in light of recurring power outages in the city and a feeling among City Council members that not enough is being done to address years of service issues.

From the Oct. 28 letter sent to Lynda Ziegler, executive vice president for power delivery services at SoCal Edison:

"Over time, we have heard numerous explanations for these outages, none of which have satisfied the City Council or your customers. There is overwhelming opinion within the community that the electric distribution network and facilities serving Palos Verdes Estates are old, past their useful lives and are not being upgraded/replaced to ensure uninterrupted power service, which should be Edison's goal.
