Poll: Do You Support Demolition of Lloyd Wright House?

Lloyd Wright's Moore House in Palos Verdes Estates was demolished Wednesday after Palos Verdes Estates City Council members denied a Los Angeles Conservancy (LAC) appeal of the demo, LAist reported.
A final, approved environmental impact report (EIR) concluded the project would "result in significant and unavoidable impact to the existing historic residence," according to a city report.
The LAC argued the EIR "failed to identify and evaluate a single reuse alternative that would maintain the Moore House’s eligibility as a historic resource."

The home featured "dramatically angled roof overhangs, walls clad in locally quarried Palos Verdes stone," and large windows to take in the ocean view, according to the LAC.
According to a city report, the Moore House will likely be replaced with a 5,935-square foot, two-story single-family residence with an attached garage.
