Poll: Edison's Plans for the Peninsula

In response to upset residents and city officials who have experienced frequent power outages on The Hill, a Southern California Edison representative on Tuesday for the Peninsula to the Palos Verdes Estates City Council.
Included in the plans is the installation of fault indicators to better determine outage locations, in addition to new fused switches that will isolate problems without impacting other customers. A $4 million new circuit project to improve Palos Verdes service, $900,000 in capital improvements, as well as continued tree trimming to prevent outages, is also planned.
A multi-year "Peninsula Reliability Project" plan to fix Palos Verdes infrastructure is also in development.
