PV Man Appointed to State Veterinary Board

Richard Sullivan's appointment to the board is announced by Gov. Jerry Brown Thursday.

Richard Sullivan, 64, of Palos Verdes, has been appointed to the California Veterinary Medical Board, Gov. Jerry Brown announced Thursday.

Sullivan is the owner and managing doctor of Bay Cities Pet Hospital. He earned his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Purdue University.

Sullivan also served in the Peace Corps from 1972-74.

According to the Bay Cities Pet Hospital website, "Richard enjoys the challenges of the medical cases and the complexities of his surgical cases. ... However, the most rewarding part of his work at Bay Cities Pet Hospital has been getting to know the many people whose pets he has helped."
