Rancho Palos Verdes Hires Lobbyist to Grab Federal Infrastructure Dollars
It's been about five years since the city has hired a lobbyist to push for its interests in Washington, D.C.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA -- The city of Rancho Palos Verdes has hired a lobbyist to try to get some federal dollars for infrastructure projects in the city, according to the Daily Breeze.
Congressional Democrats and President Donald Trump have issued proposals to spend $1 trillion in infrastructure spending so the city decided to it's time to hire a lobbyist, the Daily Breeze reported.
It's been about five years since the city has hired a lobbyist to push for its interests in Washington, D.C., according to the Daily Breeze. Rancho Palos Verdes hopes the firm, American Capitol Group, with its connections with both Congress and the Department of Interior, can secure the city some funding and repair relationships with the National Park Service, the Daily Breeze reported.

“There’s no guarantee for anything, so this is trying to put our best foot forward to get on a list so, if the list gets funded, we are part of the funding,” City Manager Doug Willmore told the Daily Breeze. “We’re going to try to do our best and see what we get.”
