Rancho Palos Verdes Residents Show Appreciation for Retired Letter Carrier at Celebration Party

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA -- To say that residents on Randy Smith's mail route were fond of him is a bit of an understatement.

Smith, who retired two weeks ago after nearly 30 years with the Postal Service, was the letter carrier for one Rancho Palos Verdes neighborhood for 25 years. He was well-loved by the residents he served.

At a Smith's retirement party, residents gathered at Fred Hesse Junior Community Park to wish him well and to show him their appreciation for his years of service. Some residents gave him flowers and signed a card for Smith.
