RHE Blotter: Stolen Purses, Cash

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station supplied this information on crime in Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills and unincorporated areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station reported the following crimes and arrests in Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills and unincorporated areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula for the period of time spanning Oct. 20 through Nov. 2.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license in Rolling Hills Estates. One person was arrested on suspicion of burglary in Rolling Hills, though no crimes were reported. No crimes or arrests were reported in the unincorporated county areas of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Vehicle burglary in Rolling Hills Estates

Nov. 1; Intersection of Palos Verdes Drive East and Palos Verdes Drive North
Someone smashed a car's window and stole a woman's purse and a California driver's license.

Oct. 23; 29000 block of Highridge Road
Someone smashed the front passenger window of a vehicle and stole a DKNY purse, identification card, Apple iPhone and miscellaneous credit cards. This incident was also classified as identity theft.

Grand theft in Rolling Hills Estates

Oct. 19-20; 100 block of Encanto Drive
A silver 2004 Land Rover Freelander SUV was stolen.

Oct. 23-24; 2200 block of Portillo Road
A set of vintage Chevrolet pikcup rims were stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway.

Oct. 24; 500 block of Deep Valley Drive
A purse, wallet, California driver's license and $900 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Petty theft in Rolling Hills Estates

Oct. 24; 500 block of Deep Valley Drive
A line extender amplifier was stolen; however, it was later recovered.
