RPV Council to Review Goals for 2012: What is Important?

Council members tonight will try to scale down a list of goals and priorities for 2012.

Continuing discussions from January goal-setting workshops, the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council tonight will try to narrow down a list of city goals and priorities for 2012.

Council members are set to weigh a list of the top 13 goals and scale it down to 8-12 items.

  1. Focus on crime prevention
  2. San Ramon Canyon stabilization
  3. Increase citizen involvement in infrastructure goal-setting and planning
  4. Infrastructure funding
  5. Evaluate "core" city services
  6. Shared use of and city facilities
  7. Full transparently of financial information
  8. Improve organizational efficiency
  9. Western Avenue commercial corridor
  10. Enhance general fund and CIP reserves
  11. Forge close city relationship with
  12. SCE infrastructure safety and reliability
  13. Trail system enhancement

The item will be brought back before the council March 20 for public input and discussion before members adopt a final list of 2012 goals and priorities.
