PALOS VERDES, CA — The Rancho Palos Verdes Traffic Safety Committee is looking to recruit a new member to fill a vacancy, the City announced Tuesday.
The five member committee serves as a public forum for traffic-related issues including placement of traffic control devices, consideration of traffic-calming solutions, safety-related tools and posted speed limits, the press release said. The 2019-2020 work plan for the Traffic Safety Committee includes providing civic engagement opportunities to discuss school safety matters, safe school routes, crossing guards and crosswalks.
"The committee will also provide comments and recommendations to the City Council regarding the Circulation Element of the General Plan Update, permit parking in coastal zones and roadway safety relating to multi-modal use of the public rights-of-way," the City of Rancho Palos Verdes said.
