SoCalGas Will Fly Helicopter Over Peninsula For Methane Mapping
You might see a helicopter flying above the Peninsula Tuesday and Wednesday, city officials said.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — SoCalGas will fly a helicopter over the Peninsula this week to conduct aerial methane mapping.
Locals can expect to hear or see the helicopter Tuesday and Wednesday.
Aerial scans are a tool to help keep communities safe by measuring methane leaks and find methane emissions. Similar methane mapping was conducted in June in Santa Ana.
