Watch: Woman Rescued After 100-Foot Fall Off Palos Verdes Cliff
The woman was treated and airlifted to a trauma center after the fall in Palos Verdes.
PALOS VERDES, CA — A woman was rescued Friday morning after falling 100 feet off of a Palos Verdes cliff, officials said.
Hikers heard screaming coming from the bottom of a cliff at about 8 a.m. Friday, where they found the woman screaming for help, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department representative told KTLA. They weren't able to reach the hiker, so they called authorities for help.
The LASD Special Enforcement Bureau responded to the scene where they worked with ground crews to conduct a hoist rescue, according to a tweet from officials. The patient was treated and airlifted to a trauma center, authorities said.
