Wife of Palos Verdes Estates Hit-and-Run Victim Asks for Help Finding Her Husband's Killer

Joan Bacon believes someone must have seen something on the morning of May 18 when her husband was struck.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — The wife of a Palos Verdes Estates fatal hit-and-run victim is asking for the public's help to piece together what happened to her husband.

Joan Bacon believes someone must have seen something on the morning of May 18. Her husband, John William Bacon III, 68, was killed in a hit-and-run at 9:35 a.m. that morning, according to the Daily Breeze.

“I didn’t want to look back and wish I had done more,” Bacon told the Daily Breeze. “I don’t want to have a regret.”

A security video showed a white truck following Bacon closely as he was biking through the city, but it was unknown if that was the truck at hit him.
