Woman Beats Boyfriend, Chugs Beer Before Taunting Deputies In The South Bay: Sheriffs
The woman was arrested on Monday following a traffic stop in San Pedro, according to authorities.

SAN PEDRO, CA — A woman who authorities say assaulted her boyfriend, armed herself with a knife and chugged a beer before taunting deputies during a traffic stop in the South Bay has been arrested.
Lomita Sheriff's Station deputies say they received a call Tuesday afternoon from somebody who witnessed the woman hitting a man inside a moving car in Rancho Palos Verdes.
The deputies quickly located the vehicle in San Pedro and witnessed the woman hitting a man multiple times in the head, according to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

Deputies pulled the car over, and the man, his face bloodied, got out and told deputies the woman was his girlfriend, according to authorities. He was treated at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
The woman, meanwhile, refused to exit the car. Instead, she chugged a beer, threw the empty can on the sidewalk, armed herself with a pocket knife and flipped off the deputies, according to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

"A tactical plan was formed due to the armed and violent nature of the suspect," Lomita Sheriff's Station said in a statement on social media. "After ignoring dozens of lawful commands and warnings, she was introduced to the MK-9 pepper spray, a large canister of OC spray used to safely gain compliance from dangerous suspects."
The woman was then arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, refusing to comply with lawful orders and driving with a suspended license.
"Big thanks to the citizen who made the call," The Lomita Sheriff's Station said in a statement. "Domestic violence is a serious crime that often goes unreported.
