DUI Checkpoint Planned For This Weekend In Pasadena
The Pasadena Police Department will be in an undisclosed part of the city on the lookout for drivers under the influence.

PASADENA, CA — A DUI checkpoint is planned for this Friday in an undisclosed part of Pasadena, the police department announced Tuesday.
The checkpoint’s location was based on the area’s history of DUI-related collisions and arrests, the department said in a statement. Officers will be on the lookout for signs that a driver may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The department will also make sure motorists have a valid driver’s license, according to the department. The checkpoint will be held from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m.

“The safety of our community is and always will be our mission,” Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Russo said in a statement. “We are looking for impaired drivers because driving under the influence is dangerous and puts others on the road at risk.”
The police department also announced the arrest of nine people suspected of driving under the influence. The arrests were made during a national DUI enforcement campaign held from Aug. 18 to Sept. 6, police said.
