PASADENA, CA — The Pasadena Tournament of Roses has found its seven members of the Royal Court for 2022.

More than three dozen applicants were interviewed for the Royal Court, the Tournament of Roses said Monday. The applicants had to be full-time students who identify as female, live in the Pasadena Community College District and be at least 17 years of age.

The seven students were chosen based on their “public speaking ability, academic achievement, youth leadership and community and school involvement,” the Tournament of Roses said in a statement. A Royal Court was not chosen last year because of the pandemic.
