Victorville Man Charged In Pasadena Shooting
Robert Murray Jones III, 20, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

PASADENA, CA — A Victorville man was charged Monday in connection with the July 29 shooting of a second man in Pasadena.
The unidentified victim was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery. His condition was unknown.
Robert Murray Jones III, 20, was charged with one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, the Pasadena Police Department announced Tuesday.

He is currently being held on $235,000 bail.
If convicted on the assault charge, Jones faces a maximum sentence of four years in state prison.

Jones said the shooting was an accident, police said.
The shooting took place in Pasadena around 10:35 p.m. July 29 in the 1900 block of Menton Avenue.
Jones was arrested by police Thursday at a house in Victorville. Jones told officers that he was an acquaintance of the man who was shot, police said.
