PASADENA, CA — Local Authors Day is happening Monday and, to celebrate the occasion, Vroman's Bookstore will hold a virtual event highlighting two authors who live in the Pasadena area.

David Reed will discuss his memoir "Uphill and Into the Wind," about being a 23-year-old in 1973, during the midst of the Vietnam War, Watergate scandal and the Kent State shooting. Lin Nelson Benedek will hold a reading from her poetry collection, "Singing Lessons.”
