4-Car Crash Claims Life On Highway 116 East Of Petaluma
Highway 116 was closed past midnight as the California Highway Patrol investigated the crash involving a moving van and three cars.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A fatality was reported in a four-car collision Tuesday night in Lakeville.
The crash involved a moving van and three cars and was reported at 7 p.m. on state Highway 116 near Stage Gulch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three cars — reportedly a Lexus, a Jeep Cherokee and a Chevy Camero — were traveling westbound on Highway 116 southeast of Petaluma and an Atlas moving van was traveling eastbound when the collision happened just east of Stage Gulch Road, according to the CHP.

The crash resulted in "major injuries" and one person was killed, the CHP said.
The wreck blocked all lanes of the highway and prompted a several-hour closure from Old Adobe Road to Watmaugh Road. The roadway was reopened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The CHP said it would release more information and asked anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Napa CHP office at 707-699-6300.
