6 Arrested In Petaluma DUI Saturation Patrol: Police
One driver collided with a power pole and caused an outage from the Petaluma Outlets to Lakeville Street, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — Six drivers were arrested Saturday night during a DUI saturation patrol in Petaluma, police said.
The Petaluma Police Department deployed four officers to conduct the patrol. Between 7 p.m. and 2:30 a.m., the officers were specifically on the lookout for impaired drivers.
Of the six arrests, three were suspected of driving with a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent, while an underage drinker 20 years of age was found to have a .06 percent BAC and was seen driving while consuming an alcoholic beverage, Acting Petaluma police Sgt. Daniel Boyd said.

Another driver was arrested after colliding with a guardrail and power pole on Lakeville Street, causing a significant power outage from the Petaluma Outlets Center to Lakeville Street and surrounding neighborhoods, Boyd said.
Police urge anyone who witnesses a suspected DUI driver to call 911.

The DUI saturation patrol was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
