Arrest Made in Petaluma Marina Gun Threat

A Petaluma man is in custody Friday on charges he pointed a gun at another man at the Petaluma Marina last week.

Police received a report of a man aiming a gun at another man near the boat slips in the morning hours of Aug. 30, according to a press release.

A third party witnessed the incident and reported it to police, but the victim couldn't be found to corroborate the story, the press release states.

The victim later came forward and spoke to Petaluma Police investigators, who were able to obtain an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Damien Christensen, the suspect who allegedly pointed the gun.

Christensen was arrested at the marina Thursday afternoon, according to police.
