Head-On Collision On Lakeville Highway Temporarily Halts Petaluma Traffic
A head-on collision between a car and tractor-trailer briefly stopped traffic on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma, according to police.

PETALUMA, CA -- A head-on collision between a car and a tractor-trailer briefly stopped traffic on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma on Tuesday morning, police said.
The tractor-trailer was traveling west on Lakeville Highway near Browns Lane and the car, a Saturn, was eastbound when it crossed the double yellow lines and collided with the Safeway store big-rig around 6:50 a.m. May 23, Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons said.
The Saturn driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The big-rig driver was not injured, Lyons said.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to call Officer Paul Accornero at (707) 778-4372.
There have been 214 collisions that caused 121 injuries and one fatality on Lakeville Highway in the past two years, according to police data.
