Lamborghini Bursts Into Flames In Suspected DUI Crash In Petaluma: PD

The Lamborghini driver lost control at a roundabout and collided with two parked cars, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — DUI is suspected in a fiery crash involving a Lamborghini and two parked cars early Friday in Petaluma, police said.

Officers responded at 12:23 a.m. Friday to reports of a traffic collision at Casa Grande Road and Ely Boulevard South and saw a lime green Lamborghini overturned and fully engulfed in flames, Petaluma police Sgt. Garrett Glaviano said.

"It was reported that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control at the roundabout, and collided into multiple parked vehicles," Glaviano said.

The crash caused major damage to the parked vehicles.

The driver, Michael Ladeck, 33, of Petaluma, showed signs of impairment and was arrested on suspicion of DUI, the lieutenant said.

Ladeck suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons before he was booked into Sonoma County jail.

"The Petaluma Police Department has been committed to increasing traffic safety and especially reducing the number of alcohol-related collisions," Glaviano said. "Petaluma Police advise motorists to plan ahead if you're going to go out and drink alcohol, designate a sober driver or share a ride. Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license."
