Man Found Asleep In Car With Drugs For Sale: Petaluma Police

Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle and found a man sleeping in the car.

PETALUMA, CA — A man found sleeping in a car in Petaluma was arrested on suspicion of selling drugs, the Petaluma Police Department said.

At 4:35 a.m. Thursday, officers were sent to investigate a report of a suspicious car in the 100 block of Rovina Lane. After he was woken up, the man was identified as Kevin Donohoe, a 27-year-old resident of Petaluma.

Officers developed probable cause to search Donohoe's vehicle and found drugs and paraphernalia, Petaluma police Sgt. Nicholas Raccanello said.

There were multiple packages of suspected fentanyl bagged for individual sale with a total weight of 24.4 grams, police said. It is alleged that officers also found a small package of suspected methamphetamine.

Donohoe was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) for sale, possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
